Nicole Hey,

Clinician, Specializing in Addiction and Family Systems

Nicole Hey, Clinician, Specializing in Addiction and Family Systems at The Kraft Group Inc., brings years of experience supporting individuals and families impacted by addiction, mental health challenges, and relational difficulties. She is currently pursuing her second Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in Addiction and Couples/Family Counseling.

Nicole has worked as an educator in Morris County for the past twenty-five years, where she developed strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills—qualities that have naturally supported her transition into the counseling field. Her extensive background in education has provided her with a deep understanding of human development, particularly in children and adolescents, which informs her compassionate, developmentally sensitive approach to therapy.

She has spent many years guiding children and adolescents and working closely with their families to foster emotional resilience and strong support systems. Nicole’s experience has shown her the importance of collaborative care and early intervention in shaping long-term well-being. She frequently works with teens and families facing challenges such as school refusal, anxiety, depression, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), bullying, social-emotional development, and executive functioning issues, offering trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate care to clients of all ages.

Nicole has received advanced training in sex addiction and betrayal trauma, and she specializes in working with individuals experiencing substance use disorders, as well as the loved ones and family systems affected by them. She is especially passionate about helping families heal from the ripple effects of addiction and rebuild trust and connection in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment.

Nicole understands that addiction impacts the entire family system. She is committed to supporting both the individual in recovery and the family members who may be struggling alongside them. She creates space for open communication, accountability, and emotional healing—helping families understand the complexities of addiction, set healthy boundaries, and support one another in sustainable recovery. Her approach is grounded in the belief that long-term healing is most effective when both the individual and their support system are actively involved in the process.

Nicole’s therapeutic style is collaborative, integrative, and strength-based. She is dedicated to creating a warm, empathetic space where clients feel safe, heard, and empowered. Whether working with teens, adults, or families, Nicole walks alongside each client on their unique path toward healing, growth, and meaningful change.
