Jenna Tongring,

PsyD, Chief Operating Officer

Jenna L. Tongring, Psy.D. received her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology in 2021 and is currently a Post-Doctoral Associate with the Kraft Group where she is acquiring her clinical hours under supervision of a licensed psychologist. She recently completed her Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Provider certification at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. Jenna is also a full-time faculty member for the Psychology Department at Drew University.

Her clinical experience encompasses both group and individual therapy, serving populations of varying mental health concerns from anxiety and depression to trauma and substance abuse. With personal and professional experience in the first responder field, she recognizes and focuses on the mental health needs unique to first responders.

Jenna believes in the utilization of evidence-based interventions to include cognitive-behavioral techniques to help clients work through a variety of challenges. Clients will find sessions are comprised of genuine rapport and trust, complemented by appropriately placed humor and constructive inquiry. Jenna incorporates the use of collaborative efforts between client and therapist to process and progress towards therapeutic goals. With a strong emphasis on psychoeducation and the incorporation of multiple modalities, treatment is tailored to each client’s specific needs and goals.

Clients are the expert on their lives and are encouraged to learn how to advocate for themselves and build personal responsibility as a means of empowerment. Via interactive and motivational sessions, Jenna encourages clients to gain both resiliency and self-efficacy. Through the use of person-centered techniques, clients will be encouraged to find meaning and purpose and to reject victimhood mentalities to help strive towards the best version of self.
