Treatment Interventions:
Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is form of psychotherapy used to treat troubling symptoms, such as anxiety & panic, guilt, shame, anger, and depression.
Desensitization refers to the removal of the emotional disturbance associated with a traumatic memory.
Reprocessing refers to the replacement of the unhealthy, negative beliefs associated with traumatic memories, with more healthy, positive beliefs.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and marital problems.
CBT treatment involves efforts to change thinking patterns. Learning to recognize one's distortions in thinking that are creating problems, and then to reevaluate them in light of reality.
CBT helps clients gain a better understanding of the behavior and motivation of others; using problem-solving skills to cope with difficult situations; and learning to develop a greater sense of confidence in one's own abilities.
Trauma Informed Care (TIC)
TIC recognizes the impact of trauma on all aspects of an individual’s life including physical, emotional, and behavioral.
TIC is tailored to each client and their specific needs and challenges with the goal of preventing re-traumatization.
There is an emphasis on strengths, resilience, and empowerment as a means to build skills to cope with and move forward from trauma.
The Kraft Group recognizes and stresses the importance of privacy and confidentiality when first responders are in treatment. We take all necessary steps to ensure clients are in a safe and secure environment where they can receive the treatment they need and deserve. Please reach out to the Kraft Group for more information!
