Christina is a Bilingual Licensed Social Worker in the State of New Jersey providing trauma attuned therapy across multiple specialities. She began her career working with complex and acute PTSD in children, teens, and adults. She has many years working with adolescents and families in crisis situations.
Christina has extensive experience in supporting individuals and families through major life changes and transitions. She has extensive work with individuals across the life span and working with complex PTSD combined with autism spectrum (ASD). She has been a continued advocate for individuals diagnosed with ASD and assisting families with identified specialized needs. Her experience expands to her working with individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD-related challenges, abuse, familial alcoholism, and grief. She recognizes all the work that is required with working with various crisis situations.
Christina guides her practice by utilizing the philosophy of Irvin Yalom: “The therapist must strive to create a new therapy for each client.” She utilizes her extensive training in trauma treatment to create a safe and warm atmosphere to help clients steadfastly move beyond the presenting symptoms to delve into the deeper underlying concerns. She works eclectically to suit the needs of the individual from a strengths based position. Modalities used in treatment may include play therapy, art therapy, sand tray training, CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, nurtured heart, family therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. Christina's goal is to help individuals reach their highest potential and to help families live more harmonious and happier lives together.
