Wellness, in all of its forms, is crucial. Your emotional well-being is equally as important as your physical well-being. While balancing and prioritizing all aspects of one’s wellness is not always easy, it is certainly possible. Guiding clients towards these goals has become a focus of my counseling work as I have seen just how impactful the results can be.
Understanding and acceptance of all clients - those are two aspects of my counseling practice that I highly value and place at the forefront of all of my counseling relationships. Our past experiences do not define who we are as individuals and they do not have to predict our futures. Using a range of techniques such as mindfulness or challenging negative thoughts, I work with clients to uncover the underlying causes of their current experiences and help them learn how to live more healthy and productive lives.
With experience in both school and mental health settings, I have worked with children, adolescents, and young adults with a range of presenting concerns. I also have experience working with first responders. Regardless of what you are experiencing, we will work together to strengthen your coping skills and resilience, and prepare you to face whatever else may come your way.
In addition to being a Licensed Associate Counselor, I also currently work as a School Counselor and previously worked as an Adjunct Professor. These professions have all given me great insight into the day-to-day experiences of today's children, adolescents, and young adults - both in and out of the classroom.
The first step towards mental wellness starts here. I look forward to working with you.
